At interviews many candidates focus on answering interview questions properly that they forget something that is equally as important ‘That you are also there to ask questions’.
Asking the right questions at an interview is important for a couple reasons, as you are interviewing the employer just as much as they are interviewing you. This is your opportunity to find out if this is a company that you would want to work for.
By asking questions you want to achieve the following things:
You have demonstrated your interest in the position you are interviewing for
That the interviewer has no reservations about you
That it is a manager / company that you want to work for
Just remember, not all questions are bad questions and by asking questions it shows the interviewer that you are enthusiastic about the opportunity and that you have clearly done your homework.
The questions you ask also help you evaluate each employer and determine which ones are a good match for you. It's always important to prepare questions prior to an interview so that you can demonstrate your knowledge of the company and the job you're seeking.
