For those of you following us on Facebook (Superior Personnel) and Twitter (GreatPeopleNZ), you will have noticed that we have been running a weekly post called Friday Features. This is about highlighting some Great People in New Zealand, from environmentalists, sportsmen and women to business leaders, musicians and film directors. The one thing they all have in common is that they are Kiwi's who have been recognised by the Sir Peter Blake Trust as Blake Leaders or recipients of the Blake Medal.
The Blake Leader Awards are conferred to individuals with the determination and will to succeed and a belief in achieving extraordinary things. The Blake Leaders have to show outstanding leadership, demonstrate the ability to build and lead successful teams, display some or all of the following characteristics: determination and the will to succeed; belief in achieving extraordinary things; a willingness to learn; a desire for constant improvement; the initiative to pursue an idea; trusting and empowering teammates; working hard; having fun. They will also show integrity and demonstrate a commitment to New Zealand.
Keep an eye out for this year's nominations to open. We hope you enjoy learning a bit more about some awesome Kiwis!
