With ANZAC Day to be commemorated this Monday, 25th April 2016, it is again time to remember and honour those who have served New Zealand in conflict around the world. Last year was the centenary of the ANZAC landings at Gallipoli and saw a huge turnout and support for remembering our soldiers from 100 years ago.
This year however we would like to remember and acknowledge all those who have served New Zealand since World War 2 in a variety of conflicts including the Malayan Emergency, Korean War, Vietnam, the Indonesia-Malaysia Confrontation, Gulf War, East Timor and Afghanistan. For these soldiers and those who supported them, we remember and give thanks for your service to New Zealand.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
