We are recruiting for an experienced Building Services Maintenance Manager to manage the delivery of response and scheduled maintenance of our clients buildings across tertiary campuses.
PURPOSE :
To ensure the environmental comfort and safety of students and staff through the reliable and efficient
operation, maintenance, compliance and continuous improvement of all allocated building technical
services and systems across a range of buildings. To manage the delivery of response and scheduled maintenance of all building lifts, auto doors, security systems and any other allocated building services including building warrant of fitness and compliance.
About the role:
• Diagnose equipment and system problems using best practice electrical and mechanical operating procedures.
• Manage scheduled (PPM) and response maintenance of fire systems, lifts & escalators, automatic doors and building warrant of fitness (BWOF).
• Budget preparation, monitoring and invoice management.
• Manage service contracts and conduct monthly maintenance contract meetings.
• Contribute to the design of minor systems modifications and process improvements.
• Contribute to the design and review of minor capital works and other projects.
• Assist with the specification, tendering and negotiation of service contracts as required.
• Lead contractor Health and Safety and random audit of contractors on site.
• Maintain asset and task information on the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) and implement an effective asset management plan.
• Ensure all building compliance requirements and documentation (BWOF) are submitted on time.
Skills and experience:
• Must have minimum 2 years technical Facilities Management experience, building compliance management and contractor management experience.
• Experience in scheduled and response maintenance for large, complex building systems.
• Self-driven, proactive specialist with a strong focus on Health and Safety.
In an ideal world , the candidate would be qualified in facilities management, or relevant building maintenance / services or engineering discipline ; however this is not necessary .
