Maintenance Engineer (10/02NV)

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking a new challenge? Our client is a family owned and operated company who are specialist in their field. They are seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to join their close-knit team based in South Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening of the plant at the start of the day and starting production
• Shut down plant and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance work
• Repair machinery in event of breakdown
• Perform tests of boiler water and wash water samples
• Liaise and book contractors for machinery servicing and break downs
• Work with compliance manager on different aspects of H&S, including audits, work procedures, SOP’s annual reviews & food safety inspections

Hours of work:
• Monday – Thursday (40 hours per week)

About you, you will have:

• NZQA Level 4 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or higher
• Relevant work experience as a maintenance engineer
• Understanding of the Laundry industry and its processes
• Understanding of Health & Safety
• Strong work ethic with a good sense of humour
• Proven Mechanical & Electrical knowledge
• Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure – ability to adapt and work through different scenarios when there is pressure in production.
• Time management / organisation - turn up to work on time to accomplish objectives effectively within given timeframes and carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner.
